Our four CSS students who graduated from the Train in Trades Culinary Arts Program 1st Semester.
Welcome to the Chatelech Secondary School website. We hope that you take the opportunity to explore our website and see some of the exciting things that we do at CSS.
CSS, which is within the territory of the Sechelt Nation, is officially designated a B.C. Community School. During the academic year we have an a hot lunch program and a breakfast program. Thanks to our Community School which provides support for our Breakfast Program, Cool School , Grade 7/8 Transitions and our Homework Club.
We want parents and guardians to stay connected with the school so we welcome your feedback. E-mail is one of he most efficient ways to connect with our teachers-- their e-mail addresses can be found above by clicking the Teachers site. We have initiated "Parents' Week at a Glance" (PWAAG) which is e-mailed to parents at the start of the week-- we hope that this provides you with more updated information (thanks to VP Mr. Sauer). Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions, concerns, or if you have some ideas that may be of interest to us. We also now have an app--Chatelech2Go; please sign up to stay even more connected.
Our moderate flex model for 2017-2018 has started. Senior students can flex between periods 1 & 2 or 3 & 4, as long as they have connected with their teachers. There are examples of what the Flex looks like on our app. All students will be involved with some flex on Fridays, where students have opportunities to go to a Passion Block. This is an evolving structure so we ask that students, teachers and parents be patient as we iron out the wrinkles.
We appreciate the support given to our students and staff and I want to thank those who volunteer to make CSS a better place. Please let us know if you want to share any of your expertise with our students; we are always looking for more ways to support our students.
The 2017-2018 academic year has gone well to date and we anticipate us having a great Semester Two.
StudentTranscripts Service (STS) is a new online application for students to view their school marks, scholarships and transcript, and send transcripts electronically to the post-secondary institutions of their choice. The STS replaces the Student Secure Web.
